Congratulations to all employers who received a 2012 Vermont Worksite Wellness Award from the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Governor Peter Shumlin kicked off the ceremony with these words:
“Healthy people make better products. You are demonstrating that creating opportunities for healthy lifestyle choices is good for people, business, and the community.”
Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Harry Chen took over the helm and presented the awards to the winning employers. Additionally, attendees were treated to several wonderful speakers throughout the day, including the keynote speaker Rosie Ward, a Certifed Intrinsic Coach, who intrigued the audience with A Culture of Well-Being: Why it Matters and How to Create It .
